Job Responsibilities
- Providing OR first assist coverage in cardiothoracic and cardiac surgeries
- Supporting cardiac surgeons and intensivist in various procedures including CABG, valve repair, ascending aortic surgery, and more
- Engaging in clinic support and rotating call duties as scheduled
Qualifications
- Board Certification Required
- Missouri state license
- BLS certification required; RNFA preferred for NPs
- Minimum of 2 years of independent adult cardiac surgery OR first assist experience
Working Hours
- Regular hours from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM
- Rotating call schedule for weeknights and weekends
Skills
- Proficient in endoscopic vein harvesting and use of Maquet EVH System
- Experience in sternotomy opening and closure, as well as chest tube and temporary pacing wire placement
- Capable of handling mechanical circulatory support procedures, including exposure to equipment like Impella and ECMO cannulation
