Job Responsibilities
- Review and verify medication orders for accuracy and effectiveness
- Dispense medications following orders and regulations
- Provide clinical recommendations and monitor medication therapies
- Participate in medication reconciliation for safe care transitions
- Prepare and oversee sterile and non-sterile compounding
- Offer guidance to pharmacy technicians and respond to medication queries
- Maintain compliance with controlled-substance regulations
Qualifications
- Experience with inpatient pharmacy operations
- Familiarity with automated dispensing systems and sterile compounding
- Knowledgeable about IV medications, antimicrobial stewardship, and medication reconciliation
- Proficient in using electronic medication-management systems
Working Hours
- Rotating shifts of days and evenings
