Job Responsibilities
– Provide round-the-clock neurosurgical trauma coverage
– Rounding on approximately 10-12 inpatients daily
– Responding to STAT trauma consults within 30 minutes and regular consults within 24 hours
– Engage in general neurosurgery and complex interventions, including stereotactic radiosurgery and spinal procedures
Qualifications
– Fellowship trained in Neurological Surgery
– Board Certified through the American Board of Neurological Surgery
– Active Pennsylvania State License or IMLC with LOC
– Trauma experience required
Working Hours
– 24-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 8:00 AM
Skills
– Proficiency in Epic charting
– Required skills include trauma response, spine surgeries, peripheral nerve surgery, VP shunt procedures, and placement of ICP monitors
– Preferred skills in cerebrovascular, endovascular, stereotactic radiosurgery, and skull base surgery
