Job Responsibilities
– Provide care for unassigned OB patients and assist private physicians with C-sections
– Oversee labor for both low and high-risk obstetric patients
– Manage unassigned gynecological emergency department patients
– Perform various obstetrical and gynecological surgeries including c-sections, spontaneous abortions, and handling of ovarian torsion
Qualifications
– Board Certified or truly Board Eligible within 6 years of residency
– Must hold an active medical license
– DEA certification required
– Certifications in ACLS and BLS
Working Hours
– A minimum commitment of 12 shifts per month required, with shifts from 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Skills
– Expertise in both low and high-risk pregnancy management
– Proficiency in FHR interpretation, OB ultrasounds, and decision-making for c-sections
– Competency in performing complicated deliveries, including breech and multiple births
– Capable of administering surgical gynecology procedures, including laparoscopic diagnostics and major operations
