Job Responsibilities
- Verify and fill medication orders accurately and efficiently.
- Monitor patient medication therapies and provide critical drug information.
- Identify and mitigate potential medication safety hazards.
- Document interactions for comprehensive medical review.
- Supervise and guide support personnel in medication processes.
- Conduct and manage daily reports on medication utilization.
- Engage in pharmacy-related programs, including clinical rounds and medication management activities.
- Adhere to regulatory, accrediting, and licensing standards and laws.
Qualifications
- Graduate of a school of pharmacy; Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) preferred.
- Pharmacist license in the state of practice is required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required.
- Preferred: One year of technical experience and inpatient clinical pharmacy experience.
