Job Responsibilities

  • Compound, prepare, mix, manufacture, and dispense medications
  • Oversee proper handling and storage of drugs
  • Ensure medication therapy is safe, efficacious, and cost-effective
  • Supervise and train pharmacy technical personnel
  • Participate in clinical rounds, emergency department tasks, and regulatory compliance

Qualifications

  • Pharmacist license in the state of practice required
  • Graduate from a school of pharmacy; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • At least two years of technical experience preferred
  • One year of hospital pharmacy experience preferred
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Board certification (BCPS) preferred, but not required

Working Hours

  • Variable shifts, primarily day hours
  • Weekend coverage required
