Job Responsibilities
- Provide on-call coverage for emergent obstetric and gynecological procedures
- Perform routine and complicated deliveries, including C-sections and multiple births
- Conduct routine gynecological exams and minor office procedures such as IUD placements and cystoscopy
- Handle emergent high-risk deliveries, with transfers for NICU support as needed
- Collaborate with hospitalist support staff and utilize 24/7 on-call anesthesiology and radiology services
Qualifications
- Active North Carolina medical license and DEA
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- PECOS and NC Medicaid credentialing
- Must be fully vaccinated
- Able to submit case logs with recent, relevant delivery experience
- No recent malpractice cases
- Must reside within 20 minutes of the hospital per bylaws

Skills
- Proficiency in both low-risk and emergent high-risk obstetric procedures
- Skilled in routine vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections
- Competence in office and minor surgical gynecological procedures
- Ability to interpret fetal heart rate monitoring and perform OB ultrasounds
- Experienced in emergent complication management, including VBACs and laceration repair
