Job Responsibilities
- Review prescriptions for accuracy and determine necessary formulas and ingredients.
- Compound and dispense medications using standard methods.
- Monitor patient profiles for accuracy, allergies, drug interactions, and optimal therapy.
- Check patient medication cassettes for correct drug and dosage before delivery.
- Prepare IV admixtures and other parenteral products under aseptic conditions.
- Direct pharmacy staff in the admixing, packaging, and labeling of pharmaceuticals.
- Oversee the Antimicrobial Stewardship Program in collaboration with medical staff.
- Participate in patient medication reconciliation and answer medication-related inquiries.
- Maintain quality control and security procedures, ensuring proper equipment operation.
- Enter data into pharmacy computer systems and maintain patient profiles.
Qualifications
- Doctorate of Pharmacy degree, Bachelor of Science, or equivalent.
- Graduated from an accredited School of Pharmacy.
- Current and unencumbered Pharmacist certification or licensure in Oregon.
- Prior leadership or management experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical care for diverse age groups from newborn to geriatric.
Working Hours
