Join a dynamic Pediatric Cardiac Care Center in Rochester, NY, as a Nurse Practitioner. This role involves providing care for critically ill pediatric congenital cardiac patients in an acuity-adaptable unit. Enjoy a balanced schedule with rotating day/night shifts, aiming not to schedule both within the same week. Over a 6-9 month assignment, you'll work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, delivering high-quality care to pediatric patients with complex cardiac needs.

Job Responsibilities
- Manage a high-acuity pediatric cardiac patient population, including pre- and post-operative care.
- Provide care for patients with high-risk single ventricle physiology, arrhythmias, vasopressor support, and those requiring external/internal pacemakers, ECMO, and CRRT.
- Occasionally care for adult patients with congenital heart disease and other critical care patients.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, and pharmacists in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a Pediatric Cardiac ICU as an Advanced Practice Provider.
- Master’s degree as a Nurse Practitioner with active New York State RN and NP licensure.
- Current national certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
- BLS from AHA and PALS from ABA are required.
- Preferred: Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner certification.
Working Hours
- Rotating day/night 13-hour shifts
- Approximately 50% days and 50% nights
- On-call and potential callback
