Join a dynamic medical team at a leading hospital facility in Portsmouth, Ohio, as a Locum Tenens Anesthesiologist. This is a medically directed role, involving the supervision of a 4:1 ratio with the possibility of running your own room if necessary. The assignment covers diverse procedures in a busy environment with 19 operation rooms, 5 endoscopy rooms, and a maternity unit. Enjoy a work schedule that starts at 6:00 AM on your first day for orientation, followed by a 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM schedule unless additional cases require your attention.

Job Responsibilities

  • Supervise CRNAs in the administration of anesthesia
  • Perform anesthesia for complete orthopedic, complex vascular, thoracic, obstetrical, pediatric, and regional surgeries
  • Manage post-operative care, including epidurals and extremity blocks
  • Utilize x-ray guidance in the performance of blocks
  • Provide ventilation management and evaluate acute volume/BP issues

Qualifications

  • Board certification in Anesthesiology required
  • Required Certifications: ACLS, ATLS, BLS, PALS
  • Experience in anesthesia for general, spinal, pediatric, epidural, and regional procedures

Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday
  • 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM (may extend for additional cases)

Skills

  • Proficiency in central line, arterial line, and PA catheter placement
  • Expertise in pressure management and volume replacement
  • Competence in anesthesia-related pain management techniques
  • Effective supervision skills for CRNAs
