Job Responsibilities
– Provide expert urology surgical care during on-call hours.
– Handle a typical patient encounter volume of 15 per shift.
– Manage emergency cases and perform necessary procedures within urology specialty.
– Collaborate with other medical professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
Qualifications
– Board Certified in Urology
– Active medical license or eligibility for IMLC
– Must hold a current DEA certification
– Advanced certification in BLS, preferred experience in specific urology procedures
Working Hours
– 24-hour call shifts from 7 AM to 7 AM
– Coverage includes approximately 4–5 hours of callbacks per day
Skills
– Proficiency in general urology
– Experience with percutaneous nephrolithotomy, ureteroscopy, nephrectomy, prostatectomy, and extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy (ESWL) preferred
– Familiarity with renal and bladder ultrasound with biopsy, and incontinence procedures
– Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities in high-pressure environments
