Job Responsibilities
– Review prescriptions for therapy appropriateness, legality, and interactions.
– Provide clinical consultation and resolve any prescriber concerns.
– Verify finished prescription orders and ensure timely pharmacy services.
– Counsel patients on medications and ensure understanding.
– Perform chart reviews for medication management and refill requests.
– Direct pharmacy support personnel and serve as an educator.
– Participate in quality improvement activities and attend relevant meetings.

Qualifications
– Pharm.D. degree or Bachelor of Pharmacy with 3 years of experience if licensed prior to 2003.
– Unrestricted Alaska pharmacist license.
– Certification in Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers.
– Pharmacy residency completion preferred.

Working Hours
– Monday–Friday, Day Shifts

– Proficiency in reviewing patient medical histories and medication orders.
