Job Responsibilities
– Provide coverage and handle urological emergencies and surgeries
– Participate in rounds and manage inpatient consultations
– Perform core procedures such as vasectomy, cystoscopy, prostate and ureteroscopy procedures
– Oversee and provide direction for NP/PA new staff members
– Collaborate with a support team of MAs, CSA, RN, and other healthcare professionals
Qualifications
– Board Certified or Board Eligible in Urology
– Active PA License or IMLC LOQ required
– DEA certification required
– At least 1 year of urology experience, new grads considered
Working Hours
– 24-hour call coverage from July 13th to 17th or 20th, and September 21st to 27th
– Involves callbacks ranging from 2-6 hours per day
Skills
– Proficiency in robotic surgery and various urological procedures
– Experience in using EPIC EMR system
– Strong communication and supervisory skills for working with support staff
– Ability to manage and perform under pressure in a high-trauma setting
