Job Responsibilities

  • Manage both low and high-risk obstetrical care, including routine and complicated deliveries.
  • Perform gynecological procedures and surgeries as needed, including IUD placements and laparoscopic procedures.
  • Collaborate with support staff and midwives to provide comprehensive prenatal and postpartum care.
  • Utilize office equipment such as fetal dopplers and ultrasounds for diagnostic and treatment purposes.

Qualifications

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB/GYN
  • Active VA license or willingness to obtain one
  • BLS/ACLS certification
  • Local to the area with mileage reimbursement only

Working Hours

  • Office hours 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM; 24-hour call shifts depending on schedule
  • Weekend and weekday availability required as per schedule

Skills

  • Proficient in handling both routine and emergency obstetrical procedures
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for patient interactions
  • Competence with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, specifically EPC
  • Effective decision-making skills in high-pressure situations
