Job Responsibilities
– Provide care for pre- and post-operative pediatric cardiac surgical patients.
– Manage high-risk single ventricle physiology, arrhythmias, and support systems like VA/VV ECMO and CRRT.
– Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, and therapists.
– Occasionally care for adult patients with congenital heart diseases and provide support for PICU boarder patients.

Qualifications
– Minimum of 2 years of experience in Pediatric Cardiac ICU as an APP.
– Knowledge of complex cardiac anatomy and physiology.
– Master’s degree as a Nurse Practitioner.
– Active New York State RN and NP licenses in good standing.
– Current national certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
– BLS from AHA and PALS from ABA required.
– Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner certification preferred.

Working Hours
Varied shifts, including a 6:00 AM – 7:00 PM and 6:00 PM – 7:00 AM rotation, with on-call as well as holiday and weekend coverage per unit needs.
