Job Responsibilities

  • Review and verify medication orders to ensure accurate drug selection, dosage, and administration.
  • Evaluate patient profiles for allergies, drug interactions, and lab results, and perform pharmacokinetic dosing for high-risk medications.
  • Oversee the compounding and dispensing of specialized medications including IV preparations and chemotherapy.
  • Participate in medical rounds, providing evidence-based therapeutic recommendations and supporting in emergencies.
  • Conduct medication reconciliation at admission and provide drug counseling at discharge.
  • Supervise and guide pharmacy technicians, interns, and students.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of inpatient pharmacist experience required.
  • Ability to work in an Anticoagulation Clinic and perform Oncology compounding.
  • Active Michigan pharmacy license.

Working Hours

  • Day shifts with potential for weekend and on-call duties.
