Job Responsibilities

  • Provide routine newborn care in the nursery
  • Participate in high-risk deliveries, including neonatal resuscitation
  • Manage common newborn conditions such as jaundice, feeding issues, and hypoglycemia
  • Stabilize newborns for NICU transfers when necessary
  • Offer consult support for pediatric emergencies in the Emergency Department
  • Participate in pediatric codes
  • Respond to pager alerts for patient and staff calls

Qualifications

  • Licensed as a Physician Assistant in Vermont
  • Pediatric care experience preferred
  • Ability to respond within a thirty-minute callback requirement

Working Hours

  • Evening and overnight shifts primarily from Thursday 5:00 PM through Monday 8:00 AM
  • One in four weekend rotations
  • Flexible availability for pager calls
