Job Responsibilities
- Provide routine newborn care in the nursery
- Participate in high-risk deliveries, including neonatal resuscitation
- Manage common newborn conditions such as jaundice, feeding issues, and hypoglycemia
- Stabilize newborns for NICU transfers when necessary
- Offer consult support for pediatric emergencies in the Emergency Department
- Participate in pediatric codes
- Respond to pager alerts for patient and staff calls
Qualifications
- Licensed as a Physician Assistant in Vermont
- Pediatric care experience preferred
- Ability to respond within a thirty-minute callback requirement
Working Hours
- Evening and overnight shifts primarily from Thursday 5:00 PM through Monday 8:00 AM
- One in four weekend rotations
- Flexible availability for pager calls
