Job Responsibilities
- Provide on-call surgical services within a 20-minute response time.
- Perform general surgeries including appendectomy, cholecystectomy, hernioplasty, and more.
- Participate in call coverage only, no scheduled patient encounters during shifts.
- Ensure compliance with hospital bylaws and credentialing requirements.
Qualifications
- Clean background and board certification required.
- Must have active NC medical license and NC DEA.
- NC Medicaid credentialed and Medicare, Medicaid, PECOS enrollment required.
- No recent or open malpractice cases.
Working Hours
- 24-hour on-call shifts during specified dates.
- Presence required within 20 minutes of facility.
Skills
- Expertise in general surgical procedures such as hernia repairs and endoscopy.
- Proficiency with Meditech 6.1 EMR system.
- Strong ability to manage ventilation, chest tube insertion, and central line insertion.
