Job Responsibilities
- Perform thoracic surgical procedures including aortic valve conservation, coronary artery bypass, and aortic root enlargement.
- Utilize both open and endoscopic techniques in cardiac/thoracic surgeries.
- Manage acute volume/BP issues and perform central line, arterial line, and PA catheter insertions.
- Engage in valve repair and replacement, along with aneurysm and TAVR procedures.
Qualifications
- Board-certified in Thoracic Surgery
- Capable of performing advanced procedures such as TAVR and CABG
- Experience in minimally invasive mitral valve surgery
- Current medical licensure with ability to practice in the state
Working Hours
- Monday–Friday with weekend call coverage
- Full-time schedule with an expectation for ongoing commitment of at least two weeks per month
Skills
- Proficiency in cardiac/thoracic surgical techniques
- Strong skills in evaluating and managing acute cardiovascular conditions
- Experience with left ventricular assist devices and IABP insertions
- Familiarity with lung resections and endoscopic thoracic surgeries is preferred
