Job Responsibilities
- Assist in cardiothoracic surgeries within the inpatient operating room
- Perform procedures like central venous and dialysis catheter placement, arterial line placement, intra-aortic balloon pump placement, and endoscopic retrieval
- Conduct thoracentesis and chest tube insertions when necessary
- Work under the supervision of a physician in the operating room
Qualifications
- NCCPA Board Certification required
- Minimum of 1 year of cardiothoracic operating room experience
- Robotic experience preferred but not required
- ACLS and BLS certifications through AHA
- Active Michigan state license required prior to assignment
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Night call on a rotational basis (1:4 ratio)
