Job Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments
- Obtain and verify patient consent
- Discuss anesthetic options and associated risks with patients
- Manage induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
- Monitor patient physiological conditions
- Perform clinical interventions as needed
Qualifications
- Current license as a registered professional nurse
- Graduation from an accredited nurse anesthesia education program
- Certification or recertification by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists
Working Hours
- Various shift lengths available: 8-hour (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM), 10-hour (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM), or 12-hour (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
Skills
- Proficient in paper charting and electronic patient record systems for pre and post-operative orders
- Skilled in handling general surgery, GYN, bariatric, OB, ortho, neuro, and pediatric cases
- Capable of supervising at a 1:3 ratio when required
