– Schedule: Monday–Friday, Clinic: 2-3 afternoons per week, Rounding: 7:00 AM – 8:00 AM, with a rotating 24-hour call
– Patient Population: Adult
– Location: Fredericksburg, VA

Job Responsibilities
– Perform cardiothoracic procedures such as coronary artery bypass, aortic, valvular, and minimally invasive surgeries
– Provide pre- and post-operative care in collaboration with advanced practitioners and other healthcare team members
– Conduct patient rounds in the hospital and see patients for follow-up in the clinic
– Participate in the 24-hour call schedule

Qualifications
– Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, with board eligibility or certification in thoracic surgery
– Completion of relevant residencies in general surgery and cardiothoracic surgery
– Current, unrestricted Virginia medical license or eligibility
– Proficiency in a broad range of cardiac surgical procedures and strong clinical skills

Working Hours
– Rounding in Hospital: 7:00 AM – 8:00 AM
– Clinic: 2-3 afternoons per week
– 24-hour call with APP support
