This role offers a dynamic work environment with responsibilities in both pre-and post-operative care, as well as first-assisting in complex surgeries. The schedule includes variable hours from Monday to Friday, with weekend and on-call duties.

Job Responsibilities
– Assist in pre-and post-operative patient evaluation and treatment
– Serve as OR first assist in various cardiac and thoracic surgeries
– Manage ICU and step-down patients
– Conduct emergent procedures as required
– Participate in daily rounds and complete discharge summaries
– Undertake call duties and weekend patient rounds
– Perform walk-in and urgent clinic visits as necessary
Qualifications
– Board Certification required
– Washington State License preferred, IMLC considered
– 3 years of CV/CT surgery experience required
– Certifications: ACLS, BLS, DEA
– Clean malpractice history required
– Must submit a Self-Query NPDB report dated within 30 days of submission
Working Hours
– Variable, typically Monday–Friday
– On-call duties include 24-hour pager coverage
– Weekend call and rounds as needed

– Strong expertise in robotic-assisted thoracic surgeries
– Proficiency with EPIC EMR
– Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
