Enjoy a dynamic work environment with a rotating schedule, covering both day and evening shifts, Monday through Friday, and alternate weekends. This role is pivotal in ensuring safe and effective medication management for a varied patient population.

– Schedule: Rotating day/evening shift, Monday–Friday starting at 6:30 AM or 8:00 AM; rotating weekends from 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM
– Patient Population: All Ages
– Location: Glenwood Springs, CO

Job Responsibilities
– Prepare and dispense medication orders per physician request while managing medication stock.
– Ensure safe, effective medication therapies as per established policies and protocols.
– Interpret medication orders and maintain computerized patient medication profiles accurately.
– Compound and dispense a wide range of pharmaceuticals, including IV admixtures and chemotherapy.
– Monitor drug therapy regimens for contraindications and interactions, providing clinical consultations as needed.
– Participate in quality improvement and medication review activities, collecting data and maintaining logs.

Qualifications
– Active CO PHA License in good standing
– Graduate of an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy with a BS Pharmacy degree
– EPIC experience required
– BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
– Proof of flu vaccination (required from Oct 1st through April 1)

Working Hours
– 40 hours per week with a rotating schedule including alternate weekends

Skills
– Proficient in interpreting and transcribing complex medication orders.
– Capable of providing clinical consultation and clarification to practitioners.
– Skilled in preparing comprehensive clinical documentation and performing quality inspections.
– Experience with pharmokinetic drug dosing and monitoring drug efficacy and safety.
– Member of the Code Response Team and able to provide emergency support as needed.
