Job Responsibilities
– Medication reconciliation and order verification
– Management of vancomycin dosing and labs, including renal dosing
– Compounding hazardous and non-hazardous IV medications
– Operating within pharmacy protocols and procedures such as refill and maintenance of PYXIS machines
Qualifications
– 5 years of pharmacy experience, specifically in sterile compounding
– Certified Pharmacy Technician through PTCB or equivalent
– BLS certification
– Proficiency with EPIC and PYXIS systems
Working Hours
– 8-hour shifts with varying start times
– Weekend availability required
– No call or holiday requirements
Skills
– Competency in sterile compounding techniques, including finger-tip and broth tests
– Strong mathematical skills for dosage calculations
– Effective communication and collaboration within a healthcare team
– Ability to work efficiently in high-demand situations
