Job Responsibilities

• Provide weekend call coverage in a hospital setting
• Perform procedures including esophageal dilatation, manometry, lower GI endoscopy, colonoscopy, EUS, and ERCP
• Conduct biopsies and manage endoscopic procedures such as PEG
• Interpret diagnostic tests and manage patient care in collaboration with hospital staff

Qualifications

• Board Certified in Gastroenterology
• Active Virginia medical license
• Must have a clean malpractice history
• Current flu shot and COVID vaccine highly preferred

Working Hours

• Hours are primarily during weekends, covering both days and nights from 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM

Skills

• Proficiency in a range of endoscopic procedures
• Experience with EMR systems, specifically Epic
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication in a hospital team environment
