Job Responsibilities

  • Compound and dispense prescribed medications for patient care.
  • Review prescriptions for accuracy and ingredient requirements.
  • Supervise pharmacy staff in pharmaceutical preparation and labeling.
  • Provide guidance to customers on drug interactions and dosage, if counseling is accepted.
  • Engage with patients about pharmacy programs and services.
  • Maintain standards for quality assurance, controlled substances security, and waste disposal.
  • Enter and manage pharmacy data, including patient and medication information.
  • Resolve third-party system issues and prescription errors promptly.
  • Establish and maintain productive relationships with physicians and healthcare professionals.

Qualifications

  • Licensed to practice pharmacy in California.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. from an accredited college.
  • Current BLS Certification.
  • Comply with federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations.
  • Maintain annual continuing education for ongoing competency.
  • Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, Days

  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Skilled in data compilation and Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Ability to make informed recommendations based on data.
