Job Responsibilities
– Prepare, dispense, and control medications in accordance with federal, state, and hospital standards.
– Maintain expertise on product advances and developments.
– Assign and monitor tasks of supportive personnel.
– Review medication orders for completeness and appropriateness.
– Compound pharmaceuticals as needed, including intravenous admixtures and other products.
– Ensure proper labeling and storage of medications.
– Provide drug information to medical and nursing staff.
– Control medications supplied to patient care units and other authorized areas.

Qualifications
– Graduate of an accredited pharmacy program.
– Current licensure (or eligibility) in Massachusetts.
– Ability to practice hospital pharmacy at current standards.
– Proficiency in operating required equipment.
