Job Responsibilities
– Provide general surgical care to adult patients
– Perform endoscopies, colonoscopies, and laparoscopic surgeries such as hernioplasty and appendectomy
– Engage in outpatient clinic consultations and evaluations
– Participate in a 24-hour call rotation as needed
Qualifications
– Board Certification Eligible (no requirement for board certification)
– ABLS, ACLS, and BLS certifications are required
– Experience in general surgery, including laparoscopic procedures
Working Hours
– Clinic days on Tuesday and Thursday, 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM
– Additional clinic days may be available based on patient volume
– 10 days of 24-hour call coverage per month
Skills
– Proficiency in performing laparoscopic surgeries including cholecystectomy and Nissen fundoplication
– Ability to perform upper and lower GI endoscopies
– Preferred skills include head/neck surgery, chest wall procedures, and vascular surgery
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered focus
