Job Responsibilities
– Provide anesthesia services across multiple specialties, including orthopedic, vascular, neurosurgical, and obstetrical cases.
– Perform general, spinal, epidural, and regional anesthesia techniques.
– Manage ventilation and acute volume/BP issues, and handle arterial and central line placements.
– Work collaboratively with other physicians and medical staff in a trauma level 3 facility.

Qualifications
– Must have an active CA license, with a permanent CA DEA preferred.
– Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology.
– Proficiency in adult, pediatric, trauma, and complex anesthetic procedures required.
– Experience with a variety of surgical anesthesia cases, excluding open-heart surgery.

Working Hours
– Shifts vary in length from 8 to 24 hours.
– Willingness to cover nights and weekends is essential.
– Initial daytime shifts to acclimate, followed by night rotations as comfort increases.

Skills
– Expertise in pain management and post-operative care including epidural and extremity blocks.
– Ability to perform complex vascular, thoracic, and neurosurgical anesthesia.
