A rewarding opportunity awaits for a dedicated Board-Certified Non-Invasive Cardiologist to provide locum tenens coverage in a reputable inpatient and outpatient clinic setting. This role is crucial for supporting the current cardiology team during an ongoing recruitment phase. The position involves a mixture of clinic, call, and inpatient work, offering diverse and impactful patient interactions with adult and geriatric populations. The candidate should be ready to start immediately and will be part of an established team in Richmond, VA, with a call ratio of 1:6.

Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct electrocardiograms (EKGs) for adult and geriatric patients.
  • Provide supervision to four Advanced Practice Clinicians (APCs).
  • Handle an average of 10 clinic patients and 12–15 inpatient admissions per day.
  • Participate in a rotating night and weekend call schedule.

Qualifications

  • Board-Certified in Advanced Heart Failure Cardiology
  • Ventricular Assist Device (VAD) Certified
  • ACLS Certified
  • Completed a fellowship in Advanced Heart Failure and LVAD experience
  • DEA license required

Working Hours

  • Full-time, Monday to Friday, including night and weekend call rotations

  • Proficiency in EPIC EMR system
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience supervising healthcare providers and managing patient care transitions
