Job Responsibilities
– Provide psychiatric evaluations and treatments across various settings
– Consult liaison work supporting medical floors and children's hospital
– Manage patient encounters averaging 20 per shift
– Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care
Qualifications
– Board-Certified in General Psychiatry
– Board Eligible for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
– Active AK License or eligibility for temporary license
– Minimum BLS certification
Working Hours
– 7 days on / 7 days off with overnight call
– Overtime applies after 10 hours per day, not after 40 hours per week
Skills
– Proficiency in treating anxiety, affective, personality, and eating disorders
– Preferred experience with developmental and organic disorders
– Familiarity with pharmacotherapy, group therapy, and family therapy
– Experience with involuntary commitments and ECT is not required
