Job Responsibilities
– Deliver anesthesia services for various surgical cases, including orthopedic, vascular, and thoracic, excluding cardiac.
– Manage acute volume/blood pressure issues and post-operative care including epidural and extremity blocks.
– Work collaboratively with a team including anesthesiologists, LPNs, nurse practitioners, and other support staff.
– Supervise CRNA as needed.
Qualifications
– Board Certified in Anesthesiology
– ACLS, BLS, PALS certifications required
– Must have clean malpractice and NPDB records
– Experience with EPIC EMR system preferred
Working Hours
– Monday through Friday
– 10-hour shifts, up to 4 days per week
– No on-call duty
Skills
– Proficient in the execution of various anesthetic techniques including spinal, epidural, and general anesthesia.
– Competent in traumatic, neurosurgical, and obstetric anesthesia management.
– Skilled in complex vascular, orthopedic, and thoracic cases.
– Ability to perform procedures such as central line, arterial line, and PA catheter placements.
– Capable of using x-ray guidance for block performance.
