San Carlos Apache Healthcare Center Pharmacy Clinic is seeking experienced pharmacists. Hospital experience is required. Candidates may be required to travel to Bylas location as well. The role involves serving as an inpatient/ER pharmacist with ACLS and PALS certification. PALS can be obtained on-site.

Responsibilities:

  • Direct, manage, and supervise daily operations to ensure high-quality service response and delivery.
  • Develop operational and financial outcome measures, tracking and monitoring systems, and integrate efforts into organization-wide quality improvement systems.
  • Direct, implement, and evaluate development of departmental, functional, and service-related policies and procedures.
  • Proactively assess program and service effectiveness and facilitate continuous process improvement.
  • Develop and supervise staff, providing timely feedback and utilizing HR policies to ensure professional growth and performance standards.
  • Plan, direct, implement, and evaluate computer-based information and dispensing systems for efficiency and data accuracy.
  • Develop, manage, and supervise purchasing and inventory management functions for cost-effective inventory management and timely availability of pharmaceuticals.
  • Facilitate staff professional growth by coordinating learning opportunities and accurately assessing learning needs.
  • Prepare monthly progress/operational reports, identifying areas of improvement and recommending actions.
  • Participate in departmental orientation, training, and quality assurance programs.
  • Maintain skill and competency levels through participation in educational programs and discussions with supervisors.
  • Perform other duties as requested.

Requirements:

  • Hospital experience in inpatient or outpatient settings, including ER experience.
  • Five years of professional experience with two years of management experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy; PharmD preferred, with one year residency.
  • Valid state Pharmacy license.
  • BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
  • Ability to pass background and drug screening.

Unit Details:

  • Staffing includes 6-7 outpatient pharmacists and support from technicians and clerks.
  • Equipment includes ScriptPro Pharmacy Management System with SP200 Robot, and RPMS Electronic Health Record system.
  • Automated medication dispensing systems: Omnicell ADCs and Carousel, Kirby Lester counting machine.

Policies:

  • Adherence to clock-in/out policies and allotted lunch breaks.
  • Manager approval required for overtime.
  • Report injuries and sick calls to the manager or supervisor.
  • Call-in policy requires two-hour notice to the manager or pharmacy.
  • Dress code includes Caribbean Blue scrubs or business professional attire, with guidelines on shoes, hair, nails, tattoos, and piercings.
