This position is for a non-invasive cardiologist with a strong preference for proficiency in TEEs, reading Echos, Nuc Meds, and conducting stress tests. Admissions are limited to STEMI cases, with interventional backup always available on call. The practice consists of 2 electrophysiologists, 10 advanced practice providers, 5 interventionalists, and 6 non-invasive specialists. The call and rounding responsibilities can be for up to three sites.
The position entails both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities, including general non-invasive cardiology call duties.
Minimum Requirements:
– Physicians must be board certified.
– Necessary certification includes ACLS.
– Physicians must fulfill specialty skills in both outpatient and inpatient cardiology with required expertise in:
– Non-invasive cardiology
– Echocardiography (including TEEs)
– Nuclear Cardiology
– STEMI care
– Diagnostic invasive cardiology
– PA catheter and IABP placement
– Cardiac catheterization
– Heart biopsies
– Interventional cardiology procedures such as angioplasty, stent placement, and atherectomy
– Electrophysiology procedures including cardiac ablation, pacemaker, and ICD placement
Facility is a trauma level 2 and does not require pediatric level expertise. The estimated credentialing timeframe is 60-120 days.
