In this role, you will stay on-site and work 24-hour shifts, focusing on providing exemplary care to patients in labor and delivery, while managing various obstetric and gynecological emergencies. This position requires hands-on experience and flexibility, with support in place for non-local candidates in the form of housing recommendations.

Job Responsibilities
– Oversee labor and delivery procedures, managing standard and high-risk pregnancies
– Perform and interpret OB ultrasounds and manage c-section decision-making
– Conduct complicated deliveries, including breech, multiple births, and VBACs
– Perform surgical gynecology procedures, such as tubal ligations and cystectomy

Qualifications
– Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
– Valid KY medical license
– Clean background with no issues
– BLS and PALS certifications required
– Strong competency in both low-risk and high-risk pregnancy management

Working Hours
Varied 24-hour shifts

Skills
– Proficiency in obstetric procedures, including c-sections, forceps delivery, and third/fourth degree laceration repairs
– Ability to manage and interpret fetal heart rate and perform gynecologic surgeries
– Excellent decision-making skills for obstetric emergencies
– Strong communication and teamwork abilities
