Looking for one week of coverage per month, with duties involving taking call for 7 days, Monday 8 am to the following Monday 8 am. The physician will consult on post-kidney transplant patients, manage kidney-specific needs, and consult on liver patients requiring nephrology input. Clinic coverage is necessary if the candidate specializes in transplant nephrology; otherwise, they will focus on call duties. The physician will also receive calls from other physicians and ERs to provide advice on immunosuppression management.

Duties Include:
– Consultations for post-kidney transplant patients
– Writing dialysis orders
– Managing kidney-specific needs
– Consulting on liver patients needing nephrology input

Requirements:
– Board Certification required
– Fellowship in Transplant Nephrology preferred
– BLS Certification required
– Minimum Board Certification: Certified
– Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: 30-90 days

– Management of dialysis patients
– Management of post-renal transplants
– Renal biopsy
– Hemodialysis catheter placement
– Peritoneal dialysis
