A Pediatric Hospitalist opportunity is available for a locum tenens assignment in a hospital setting. This position requires managing various pediatric units, including Newborn Nursery, high-risk deliveries, ER consults, and the Pediatric inpatient unit. The role involves multiple consecutive 24-hour call shifts, and the physician must be able to return to the hospital within 20 minutes at all times while on call. Both weekday and weekend coverage are required, with the flexibility of staying out of the hospital if there are no acute issues.

Job Responsibilities
- Provide coverage for Newborn Nursery, high-risk deliveries, ER consults, and Pediatric inpatient unit.
- Must be prepared to resuscitate and stabilize critically ill newborns pending transport to NICU.
- Respond promptly to call-ins within a 20-minute drive.
- Work collaboratively with a team including a pediatric MD, obstetrics MD/midwife, and other staff.
Qualifications
- Must have a NY State license and be Board Certified in Pediatrics.
- Required certifications: NRP, PALS, BLS.
- Experience with Epic charting is necessary.
- Must possess strong skills in neonatal resuscitation and stabilization.
Working Hours
- Varies with multiple consecutive 24-hour call shifts, including weekdays and weekends.
- Must be able to respond to hospital calls within 20 minutes at all times.
