Seeking a physician for ongoing coverage with a commitment of two weeks per month. The position involves working in an inpatient rehabilitation setting, focusing on adult patients. The schedule involves regular hours from 8am to 5pm, with on-call duties from 5pm to 8am, Monday through Friday. Shifts conclude on Fridays at 5pm.
This role requires board certification or board eligibility and a fellowship is necessary. Temporary privileges can be granted. The expected credentialing timeframe is approximately 45 days. Required certifications include ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS.
Patient encounters range from 5 to 10 per shift, with the department having 10 beds. The position demands expertise in physical medicine and rehabilitation, with skills such as:
- Traction/immobilization devices
- Diagnostic and therapeutic taps
- Arthrocentesis
- Intra-discal electrothermal annuloplasty (IDET)
- Acute and chronic pain management
- Various injections, including joint, trigger point, and epidural
- Electrical stimulation
- Wound debridement
- EMG and nerve conduction studies
- Stress reduction/relaxation training
- Medical management
The facility uses Cerner for charting/EMR and requires inpatient rounding in rehabilitation. The average number of admissions per shift is between 1 and 3. The facility does not require trauma or pediatric level services.
