General Cardiologist – Locum Opportunity

The hospital seeks to expand its provider pool by including clinic time Monday through Friday while covering call. Initially, clinic coverage will start at 2 hours per day and will adjust as needed. Onsite hospitalists will manage patient admissions and consultations. The facility is chest pain accredited, and the physician will be responsible for reading all testing reports such as EKGs and ECHOs while on site.

Patient Encounters Per Shift
– Dependent on hospital census and clinic follow-ups.

Board Certification
– The facility requires board-certified physicians. Minimum board certification eligibility is necessary.
– International Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) participants are not eligible.

Credentialing Timeframe
– Estimated at 60-90 days.

Required Certifications
– ACLS is required.

Specialty Skills and Requirements
– Internal Medicine – Cardiology expertise needed.
– Outpatient and Inpatient Cardiology, including ICU care, are required.
– Non-invasive cardiology skills, echocardiography, TEE (Transesophageal Echo), nuclear cardiology, and STEMI management are necessary.
– Invasive cardiology and electrophysiology involvement, such as diagnostic and interventional procedures, are not required.
