Job Responsibilities
– Independently manage patient care within the fast track area
– Collaborate with attending physicians for case reviews and guidance
– Participate in the department’s varied shift structure to maintain optimal coverage
– Utilize Cerner EMR for documentation and patient management
Qualifications
– Board Certified Nurse Practitioner
– Current Michigan License (no exceptions or IMLC accepted)
– ACLS and ATLS certification
– Minimum two years of recent emergency department experience
– Must have a clean background for quick credentialing
– Required immunizations: Hep B, MMR, Varicella, Flu, Covid Documentation, TB, TDAP
Working Hours
– Varied shifts, predominantly 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM
– Maximum coverage during peak hours with resident and physician collaboration
Skills
– Strong clinical skills in emergency medicine
– Ability to work independently in a high-stress, fast-paced environment
– Proficiency with electronic medical records, specifically Cerner
– Excellent collaboration and communication skills with medical team
