POSITION SUMMARY
The Pharmacist Staff Retail Pharmacy ensures medications are procured, prepared, dispensed, and administered safely and legally.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
? Proficient in pharmacy practice including but not limited to the following areas:
a. Retail dispensing
b. Home health aids
? Performs other related prescription activities such as taking verbal prescriptions, filling of prescriptions, dispensing and verbal consultation.
? Performs and/or supervises pharmaceutical compounding activities.
? Provides clinical pharmacy services, including medical history collection, therapeutic drug monitoring, pharmacokinetic dosing consultations, drug information and education.
? Participates in and follows standards of departmental quality control and quality assurance programs.
? Oversees inventory control activities such as monitoring inventory levels, ordering, receiving, stocking and shipping.
? Supervises pharmacy interns and technicians.
? Willingly follows and supports all policies and procedures required under Medicare Accreditation.
? Input and process prescriptions
? Correct prescriptions
? Counsel patients
? Administer vaccines.
? Perform other related duties as needed.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Required qualifications to effectively perform job. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.
? Professional Pharmacy degree required. Doctorate preferred.
? Wisconsin Pharmacist license required or temporary Wisconsin Pharmacist license required while obtaining active Pharmacist license that must be obtained within 60 days of receiving temporary license.
? Must hold and maintain Wisconsin Pharmacist license.
? BLS certification required.
? 1+ years related work experience required.
